內容簡介：
This lecture takes up the question of political legitimacy in non-Western societies by focusing first on the movement in the work of the American philosopher John Rawls from moral justification to political legitimacy. Second, the lecture reframes the argument for political liberalism from one that is shaped by western developments to one that is open to any reasonable adaptation to modernity. Third, the lecture will address the question, how the orientation toward political legitimacy in political liberalism can be adapted to civic values implicit in Asian cultures.
主講簡介：
David Rasmussen，美國芝加哥大學博士🙋🏽♂️，現任美國波士頓學院（Boston College）哲學系教授➕。他是著名學術期刊《哲學與社會批判》的創刊人及主編，同時擔任近期創刊的《美國哲學學會期刊》副主編。Rasmussen教授關於尤爾根·哈貝馬斯🏊🏿、保羅·利科，以及約翰·羅爾斯的多部學術著作和文章均在學術界內受到高度好評🤢。他現在正在完成一本關於約翰·羅爾斯後期哲學的學術著作。
